ABOUT US
Markaz Al Bishara is a Ghana based registered local Christian Association. It was founded in 1983 by Rev. Johnson Asare. Bishara is committed to working with the poor and marginalized to promote human transformation by meeting their basic needs and thereby paving the way towards bringing them into a mutual relationship with God. Our special affinity towards children stems from the fact that, because of their vulnerability, children need special care, and Bishara seeks to preserve their dignity and give them hope for the future through community development and empowerment with other Program interventions aimed at poverty reduction as a critical component of securing the rights and freedom of the child.
Our Board of Trustees comprises professionals from different background like Social Scientist, Development Studies Lecturer, Pastorial Minister, Educationist, Nurse, Water Engineer, Seamstress, etc. Despite different professional backgrounds we do share passion for human development (especially for grass-root people), that is what binding us together. They also oversee the internal and external auditing of the Association’s accounts. A seven member Management Board work with the Founder / Director and oversees the day –to – day administration of the Association.
